Part 1. Why did you start cosplaying?

When I first went to an anime convention I thought you were supposed to cosplay, so I did something really quick and simple (Suguru from Gravitation), and then saw how nice everyone's costume was so I wanted to get better too.

Part 2. What do you care about most when cosplaying?

Having fun is the most part. Cosplay is a hobby, and you shouldn't get too stressed about it, or spend too much, or worry. Just do the best you can with what you have. Though it is nice when you get to do the little details that most people won't notice, but you know you got it right. Like the shorts and jacket pattern when I did "Horizon Watcher" Frederick.

Part 3. Tips for creating props and setting wigs

Make sure you give yourself enough time. Schedule the build, know how long each step will take. Account for things like taking time for paint and glue to dry. And a few trips to the store for when you find out you forgot a detail or are missing a part. 😛

Part 4. Your best cosplay memories

I used to be pretty out of shape, but then "Xenoblade" and "Smash Bros" came out, and I really wanted to cosplay Beach Shulk. So I fixed my diet, started working out, lost a lot of weight, and just that feeling of
"Wow, I'm actually cosplaying Shulk" just felt kind of surreal.

Q. Who are you planning to cosplay next?

This year the main ones are probably Richter Belmont from "Castlevania", Alfyn Greengrass from "Octopath Traveler", redoing Shulk from "Xenoblade" Chronicles, and maybe Geis from the "Ys Series".

Q.Where do you usually cosplay?

I usually just cosplay at conventions. I'd love to do location shoots sometime, but it's hard to fit in, especially since I don't drive.

Q. What is "cosplay" for you?

Cosplay is a way to express yourself, for showing your love for characters and their series.
